From Variability to Creativity: on the emergence of new folk songs in Moravia and Silesia in the second half of the 20th century

The autor comments on the proces of the creation of new folk songs: in specialised literature, such a process is called the utmost form of variation changes. Field research documents several types of variations, such as from random changes to regular changes, changes in the completion of song parts (such as new stanzas), the creation of lyrics or composing the melody, up to creating a completely new song.
